First litter...

...still occupies my minds together with variuos thoughs about work, studies and sports... I still not completely sure if I mate Gella during her next heat - which is not so far away, as she may start her season in the end of November or in the first part of December. The reason is that currently I can't get that I want - that means I can't obtain an perfect (or close to that) male for her, 'cause all of them live too far and their stud fees are too high, so these expenses are not for me (we have Global Crisis here, right?... and believe me - here in Lithuania word "crisis" means a total DISASTER, as currently we have extremely high prices and extremely low salaries). But also I don't want to leave her empty till she'll pass 6 y.o. and then put her on the sofa with no offsprings. The sad and hard part of that deal is that back in 2007 I've choosed and bought that dog for breeding, as I have been looking for these bloodlines and this breed type and believed, that she will be able to produce something worth to be shown. So now facing my disability to get suitable male on her drives me crazy.....

Current situation is that I have one option in the neighbour country - a young male, which has great outline and very nice shape, but.. his bloodlines are completely different and there's nothing common with Gella's pedigree (well, we can't count 4th or 5th generations, right?...) well, he has superb top-winning Scandinavian dogs as his ascendants, but I'm not an admirer of them and have no intentions to work with Scandinavian bloods in the future..... But when talking about appearance of this male - oh yeah, he's great for my girl, as he has deep brisket, he's wide enough, his chest is well-filled and he has great topline and angulation. Really nice well-balanced dog with superb built (both mascule and elegant), - but I'm not sure if I want his pedigree on my bitch.....
